2014 “Havana Daydreamin” Service Projects

"Havana Daydreamin" Blood Drive

For the last eight years our blood drive has been the largest blood drive in the Keys put on by OneBlood. Last year we collected an incredible 155 pints from the 172 attendees who attempted to give the “Gift of Life”. Our blood drive will be Thursday, October 30th from 9am to 5pm and Friday, October 31st from 9am to 2pm. “The Meeting of the Minds” Blood Drive will remain number 1 for the NINTH year in a row!

We will start taking donation appointments after September 1st.

Check out the video one of the Miami TV stations took a couple of years ago.
I want to thank all the attendees that make this event such a success.
Thank you,
Jeff Hoffman
“Havana Daydreamin” Service Chairperson

Toy Drive

This will be our eighth year supporting the Salvation Army of Monroe County, benefiting the children of Monroe County including Key West. Please bring an unwrapped toy (don’t forget batteries) or school supplies to donate when you register. Age groups requested are infant-toddler and teenagers. If you are driving down the Keys, stop at the Homestead Wal-Mart or the Key West or Marathon K-Mart to pick up toys or school supplies. Collection boxes will in the registration area.

I like to give a great big thank you to all who have and will help make our service projects a success.

You may contact me at txparrot@aol.com if you have any questions. Please put MOTM in the subject.
